Role Purpose
The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of styling HTML with CSS and JavaScript. You will have an opportunity to grow within the SOA services team, and learn how to develop Merkle’s renowned custom solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manipulate CSS and HTML files to support creative variations
- Implement JavaScript
- Hands-on development and support of client deliverables
- Unit testing
- Assisting in QA/UAT phase as issues arise
- Deploying code and providing initial support
Key Skills and Experience
- Qualified individuals possess the Merkle attributes of being smart, curious, willing to learn, committed to vision, passionate, fun/pleasant, an achiever and having a sense of urgency
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Computer Science or related IT field or relevant professional experience
- 1+ years of work experience
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML and CSS
- Proficient understanding of JavaScript programming language
- .NET and/ or Java experience a BIG plus
- Ability to work on multiple projects and deliverables concurrently
- Interest in learning and developing Web Services (SOAP or RESTful) and web applications
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Knowledge of object-oriented and procedural programming
- Knowledge of databases a plus
