The selected candidate will support the W Insiders (Guest Relations) team in delivering exceptional, personalized guest experiences by proactively addressing guest needs and resolving issues efficiently. They will uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay for every guest while contributing to the overall success of the team.
Responsibilities
- The W Insider Assistant Manager is responsible for providing support to the W Insider (Guest Relations Manager).
- To ensure smooth operation of the department / arrival process and VIP welcome / farewell.
- Oversee and coordinate all arrivals and departures of VIP’s, Repeaters, Regular guests, Marriott Bonvoy Elite members.
- Direct, coach and manage a guest relations team to ensure all standards and operating procedures are adhered to.
- Handle some complaints and difficult situations during the stay. Make sure all guests’ expectations are met and all the procedures are in line.
- Acting as the face of the Resort and make sure all the procedures are in line with Marriott Brand Standards and Policies.
- Responsible for planning the W Insiders (Guest Relations) team and related areas.
- Give a warm welcome to guests on arrival and assist them throughout their stay by attending to their needs and sharing useful information about the hotel and activities available.
- Offer personalized service by anticipating guest expectations and providing suitable solutions.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to guests’ questions and requests to ensure their satisfaction
- Work together with other hotel departments to attend to special guest requests.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an Assistant Guest Relations Manager or 2 years as a Guest Relations Team Leader
- Degree in Hospitality or related field
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Experienced in training, coaching, and mentoring team members, ensuring high performance, alignment, and continuous development
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during peak periods, with flexibility to adapt to long or variable shifts
