MezTal is looking for an Employee Onboarding Specialist to support one of our U.S.-based clients in the Senior Living industry.

In this role, you will help newly hired employees successfully complete their onboarding process and become ready to start working at their assigned communities. You will serve as a key point of contact for new hires, providing personalized guidance, answering questions, and helping them navigate Workday and other onboarding requirements.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, is patient and organized, and can make complex or unfamiliar processes feel simple and manageable. You will work with individuals from different backgrounds and levels of technology experience, so strong communication and a service-oriented mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide new hires through the complete employee onboarding process, from initial onboarding steps through completion of all requirements needed to begin employment.
  • Provide hands-on support to new employees as they navigate Workday, helping them understand and complete required tasks.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for onboarding-related questions and provide clear, friendly, and professional assistance.
  • Proactively follow up with new hires regarding incomplete or pending onboarding requirements.
  • Identify potential delays or challenges and help new hires move through the process efficiently.
  • Support individuals with different levels of technology experience, including employees who may require additional step-by-step guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals whose first language may not be English.
  • Track onboarding progress and maintain accurate information regarding completion status and pending actions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders when additional support or escalation is required.
  • Support onboarding activities across multiple Senior Living communities in the United States.
  • Learn and adapt to the specific onboarding requirements and processes of different communities.
  • Provide a positive and supportive onboarding experience that helps new employees feel prepared and confident before their first day.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Professional English proficiency, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous professional experience working with U.S.-based companies, clients, employees, or teams.
  • Previous experience in employee onboarding, HR operations, recruiting coordination, employee support, HR shared services, or a similar people-focused role.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain processes clearly and patiently, especially to individuals who may not be comfortable using technology.
  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to proactively manage multiple onboarding cases at the same time.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Comfortable working with HR systems, online platforms, and administrative processes.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid model and commute to our offices located in Colonia Providencia, Guadalajara, Jalisco on designated in-office days.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience using Workday, particularly for employee onboarding or HR processes.
  • Experience supporting employee onboarding within U.S. organizations.
  • Experience working in Senior Living, healthcare, hospitality, or other high-volume workforce environments.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple locations or business units.
  • Familiarity with U.S. hiring and pre-employment processes.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who combines strong follow-through with a people-first approach. You should be comfortable guiding someone step by step through a process, following up when something is incomplete, and making sure new hires do not get lost or frustrated during onboarding.

We are especially interested in candidates who are patient, proactive, organized, approachable, and comfortable communicating in English with U.S.-based stakeholders and employees.

Experience with Workday is a strong advantage, but we value the ability to learn quickly and provide an excellent employee experience just as much.
