This role plays a key part in ensuring patients receive the care and supplies they need, including catheters and medications, while delivering a high level of customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Verify insurance coverage and determine patient responsibility for orders
- Communicate payment expectations clearly and collect patient payments
- Post charges and payments for pharmacy orders
- Review insurance reimbursements to ensure accuracy
- Identify and resolve denied or underpaid claims
- Research claim issues, correct errors, and submit appeals
- Answer incoming calls professionally and assist patients with questions or concerns
- Collaborate with coworkers, providers, and management to resolve issues
- Help maintain an organized and professional pharmacy workspace
- Assist with additional tasks and problem-solving as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, patient-first attitude
- Comfortable working in-office (not remote)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data entry, simple tracking)
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and organization
Good to Know
- Experience with insurance verification, billing, or medical claims is a plus
- Insurance-related duties can be trained—we’re willing to teach the right candidate
- This role requires critical thinking and the ability to resolve issues effectively
