Join Precision Automotive Equipment as a Technical Support Specialist and become the go-to expert for our advanced equipment, including diagnostics.

You’ll support customers and field technicians to ensure equipment runs safely, accurately, and reliably troubleshooting faults and delivering clear technical advice via phone, manuals, and service bulletins. You’ll also create and maintain safety documentation and play a key role in organising and delivering training to build capability across our teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to workshops by troubleshooting automotive workshop equipment including diagnostic tools
  • Identify and resolve problems related to associated hardware and software components
  • Reduce vehicle downtime through fast, accurate, and competent problem-solving
  • Deliver timely, effective, and individualized customer support
  • Assist workshops in maintaining optimal system performance of their equipment
  • Escalate complex technical issues where required and follow through to resolution
  • Work close with manufacturers to ensure relationships and information is exchanged positively to benefit customer outcomes
  • Trade qualification or proven mechanical aptitude highly regarded
  • Manual driver’s licence
  • High risk (Forklift) licence – preferred
  • MR licence – preferred
  • High risk (Forklift) licence – preferred
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Firsthand experience with automotive workshop equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication systems and interfaces
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple issues simultaneously
