**This is a 6+ month contract position with one of our clients. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work Tues, Wed, Thur in Maple Plain, MN. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.**

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator who will support the design, operation, and maintenance of enterprise identity, access, and infrastructure systems. This person will work closely with IT team members and business users to ensure reliable and secure system performance across on-premises and cloud environments. This position is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who can support day-to-day operations while continuing to build technical depth across core infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

  • Support administration of Active Directory, including user and group management, permissions, and basic Group Policy maintenance

  • Assist with identity and access management (IAM) platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Okta

  • Help configure and support SSO, MFA, and conditional access policies

  • Perform routine system maintenance including server patching, updates, and monitoring of Windows Server environments

  • Assist with administration of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365, including user provisioning and mailbox support

  • Support remote access technologies including RDS and VPN connectivity

  • Assist with certificate and PKI management, including tracking renewals and resolving basic issues

  • Monitor systems and troubleshoot incidents, escalating complex issues as needed

  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps

  • Participate in on-call or after-hours support as required

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server administration, including patching methodologies

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Outlook, and mail migration concepts

  • Exposure to IAM platforms such as Okta, including SSO and MFA

  • Basic experience with Microsoft Azure environments is preferred

  • Understanding of remote desktop infrastructure and secure remote access solutions

  • Exposure to certificate management and PKI concepts

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically and solve problems

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 support environment

  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise users and infrastructure systems

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across a variety of systems
