Our client, an R&D engineering team, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (R&D) for a Remote - Out of Region, Full-time opportunity. This role supports the development of electrical power distribution products. There is no application deadline for this role. *Senior Electrical Engineer (R&D) Responsibilities:* * Direct electrical and control design activities for new product initiatives from initial planning through manufacturing release. * Create engineering specifications, schematics, wiring documentation, and material lists for prototype and test equipment. * Establish evaluation plans, coordinate certification activities with recognized testing laboratories, and assist with laboratory testing and results analysis. * Develop repeatable design tools, performance models, configurable product architectures, and quoting options through testing, simulation, and analysis. * Provide technical leadership across design, manufacturing, testing, customer requirements, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and engineering mentorship. *Senior Electrical Engineer (R&D) Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience; a master's degree is preferred. * At least five years of experience designing low- or medium-voltage power distribution equipment or comparable products. * Background with recognized testing laboratory evaluations, testing, and certification processes. * Knowledge of applicable electrical equipment standards, including UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A, and related IEEE, ANSI, CSA, EEMAC, and NFPA 70E guidance. * Experience producing electrical diagrams and schematics with AutoCAD or a comparable tool, along with the ability to travel up to 20% for testing and product development activities.
