Position Details: * *Start Date:* ASAP * *End Date: June 4, 2027* * *Location:* Cass County, Michigan * *On-Site*, 35 hours per week * *School Year:* 2026-2027 * *Openings:* 1 * *Schedule:* 8:00 AM - 3:45 PM (30-minute duty-free unpaid lunch) Qualifications: * *Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification* * Experience supporting K-5 students in school settings preferred. * Strong knowledge of special education processes (IEPs/eligibility) and school-based best practices. * Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, related service providers, and families. * Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. * Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities: * Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results (cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional). * Support eligibility determination and provide meaningful input for IEP planning. * Provide individual and/or small-group counseling and intervention support as needed. * Consult with teachers and staff on behavior supports, classroom strategies, and intervention planning. * Monitor and document student progress, adjusting recommendations and strategies as needed. * Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes. * Support school-wide initiatives (SEL, trauma-informed practices, bullying prevention) and assist with crisis response when needed.
