Job Scope:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, in particular under MiCAR, MiFID, and PSD II.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments, providing guidance to the business on necessary compliance adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, including training and awareness programs.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and documentation to ensure timely compliance with reporting obligations.
  • Support the business in obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses and regulatory approvals in Austria.

 

Requirements:

  • A law degree (LLB, JD, Mag. iur., LL.M., or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably within an in-house legal team, regulatory authority, financial firm or law firm. Work experience in Austria and/or Germany preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Austrian and EU laws relating to regulatory compliance in particular with respect to MiCAR, MiFID and E-Money Directive / Payment Services Directive.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment with high integrity and discretion.
  • This position is based in Austria, Vienna
