Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. As a PTA, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to provide hands-on treatment, education, and support to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Your role is vital in helping patients regain mobility, improve function, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to continue at home.
  • Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, adhering to clinic policies and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare equipment and assist in maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Foster a positive and motivating environment for patients.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift or assist patients as needed.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Passion for working with diverse patient populations.
