About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role requires strong technical skills, accuracy in high-volume payroll processing, and the ability to collaborate effectively with HR and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll and verify timekeeping data for 1,000 employees.
- Maintain digital and physical payroll records (PAFs), ensuring compliance with labor laws.
- Serve as the first point of contact for payroll inquiries, investigating discrepancies with a customer service mindset.
- Collaborate with HR on payroll lifecycle tasks including new hires, status changes, and terminations.
- Generate and audit payroll reports, reconcile GL postings, and identify trends.
- Support compliance with federal and state regulations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Perform other payroll-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in organizations with 200+ employees.
- Diploma preferred.
- Experience with payroll software (Paylocity preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage high-volume data with zero-error margins.
- Strong collaboration skills with HR and Finance teams.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of confidentiality and integrity.
- FPC certification preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass Federal and State Exclusions Screening.
