Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)
Work hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F with Saturday and Sunday shifts, every 15 weeks with weekend differential
Location: This is a remote position in VA.
Job responsibilities:
This role supports prior authorization for commercial plans and works closely with provider offices. You will receive requests (via fax or online), route them to nurses for review, and help track status.
This is a phone-based role. You will take inbound calls from clinics and hospitals to confirm receipt of requests and provide updates.
Education
- HS – High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED
Certification/Licensure
- None required
Experience
- Experience working in Healthcare REQUIRED
- Health plan experience highly preferred
- Experience handling calls in a call center or similar phone-based role preferred
