Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, or Social Worker.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing mental health evaluation and therapeutic intervention to patients. Works under the supervision of a Psychologist, Mental Health Manager and/or Program Director.
Job Duties:
- Contributes to the success of the UTMB Managed Care organization.
- Interviews, evaluates and diagnoses patients identified as having mental health needs.
- Provides individual and group psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
- Develops, implements and reviews Individual Treatment Plans.
- Assists with training and education of mental health, medical and other staff.
- Assists in the implementation of Quality Improvement/Quality Management (QI/QM) programs and the monitoring of compliance with required policies, procedures and standards.
- Provides routine consultation and communication with supervisor and/or attending provider regarding the status of assigned patients.
- Completes clinically appropriate and timely documentation.
Liaisons with patient, patient families, on-site departments and community agencies to coordinate current treatment and/or facilitate aftercare services
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
