To grow and retain client relationships as per allocated segment/sector portfolio (e.g., Commercial Banking, Agribusiness, Public Sector; and Africa China Banking). To execute on the segment/sector offering, related toolbox(es), initiatives and activities aimed at optimising both client experience and profitability for the bank.

Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance and Accounting, or related

Experience: 

5-7 years: Experience in client facing role including sales, credit and relationship management.

Key Impact Areas: 

  • Leverage sales growth tactics and targets in collaboration with business partners in the area e.g., Local markets, Prestige and Private Banking, Vehicle and Asset Finance; Electronic Banking; SBFC; SBIB and any other Business Partners. 
  • Formulate, drive, measure and manage the implementation of a sales performance strategy for the portfolio to grow new business and share of wallet across the portfolios managed.
  • Keep abreast of external factors influencing the client's exposure to risk.
  • Explain credit procedures, qualifying criteria and expected turnaround times to clients in order to ensure that their expectations are being managed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients business through regular interaction with clients at their place of business as per segment value proposition guidelines.
