The Opportunity:
The Manager, FP&A Europe will support the Sr Director FP&A Europe in driving financial planning, reporting, business analytics, and operational execution across the European region as the company prepares for commercial growth.
Based in Basel, Switzerland, this role will coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities, deliver financial insights, support reporting and planning tools, and help ensure efficient day-to-day finance operations across European affiliates and functions.
The ideal candidate is analytical, hands-on, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced biotech environment.
Support FP&A & Financial Operations

Support annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes across Europe.

Coordinate planning timelines, templates, and data collection with regional stakeholders.

Assist in maintaining European management P&L structures by country, function, and product.

Prepare monthly Actuals vs. Budget / Forecast reporting and variance analyses.

Consolidate and validate financial submissions from affiliates and functions.

Support OpEx tracking across European legal entities and the regional office.

Partner with Accounting and Global Finance teams during monthly close and reporting cycles.

Assist with contract tracking, accruals, purchase orders, and budget monitoring activities.

Support financial systems enhancements, reporting automation, and dashboard development.
Deliver Business Analytics & Insights

Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and management reports using Excel, Power BI, and related tools.

Perform financial and operational analyses to support decision-making and resource allocation.

Support scenario modelling and ad hoc analyses for launch readiness, market planning, and investment decisions.

Identify risks, trends, and opportunities, and communicate insights to stakeholders.

Partner with Commercial, Medical and G&A teams on day-to-day activities and trends.

Translate complex financial data into clear and actionable recommendations.
Coordinate Operational Execution

Coordinate recurring FP&A operational activities and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Drive follow-up on planning deadlines, approvals, and action items across functions.

Help establish scalable processes, governance standards, and documentation.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and process consistency.

Support preparation of management presentations and executive materials.

Facilitate communication and alignment between European and Global Finance teams.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent

6–8 years of experience in FP&A, finance operations, or business analytics.

Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences preferred.

Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and financial reporting systems.

Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.

Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
