About Us
Gumloop is the AI automation platform for the enterprise. We give teams the power to easily build and deploy AI agents, in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or standalone, that automate real work across hundreds of integrations with no engineering background required. The platform has three pillars:
1. Agents — Conversational AI assistants that use tools (integrations, workflows, code sandbox, MCP servers) to accomplish open-ended tasks. Unlike workflows that follow fixed paths, agents decide which tools to use and when, adapting based on context. Users configure agents with a system prompt, a model, and a set of tools. Agents can be deployed to a chat UI, Slack, or Microsoft Teams, and can run autonomously via scheduled or event-based triggers.
2. Workflows — Visual, drag-and-drop automations composed of connected nodes on a canvas. Each node is a discrete operation (call an API, run AI, read a spreadsheet, send an email). Workflows are deterministic and repeatable. They can be triggered manually, on a schedule, via webhook, or by external events (new email, Slack message, etc.). Workflows can also be attached to agents as callable tools — the agent orchestrates, the workflow executes.
3. Gumstack — Enterprise-grade MCP hosting, observability, and AI governance. Organizations provision managed MCP servers, control which AI models are available, audit every tool call, and enforce security policies across all agents and workflows.
We're moving fast. Teams at Gusto, Ramp, Shopify, Samsara, Instacart, and Opendoor are already building and deploying AI agents on Gumloop to automate real work across their organizations. That's not a demo. That's production.
We've raised $70M from Benchmark, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, Nexus Ventures, Shopify Ventures, BoxGroup, and The Cannon Project to build a world class team.
Role Overview
We're hiring a Founding Business Recruiter to own hiring across our non-technical teams as Gumloop scales. You'll be the second recruiter at the company and the first dedicated to the business side of the house, partnering with leaders across sales, marketing, customer success, operations, and beyond to bring in the people who will fuel Gumloop's growth. This role is for someone who wants to build a recruiting function from the ground up, not just fill roles but shape how we hire as we grow.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with hiring managers as a true talent advisor, translating business goals into hiring plans, calibrating must-haves vs. nice-to-haves, and pushing back when scope needs adjusting
Own the full recruiting lifecycle for business roles, from intake and job posting through sourcing and close
Source proactively across both active and passive channels, bringing candidates to the table who would not have found us on their own
Design and refine interview processes with hiring teams, making sure every loop is structured, calibrated, and set up to evaluate the right skills required for the job
Diagnose pipeline bottlenecks early and course correct before they slow down a search
Drive offers and closings with a candidate experience that leaves people feeling genuinely excited about Gumloop, regardless of the outcome
Set the bar for data hygiene, pipeline reporting, and stage discipline in Ashby
Help build the recruiting function itself, identifying gaps in our process, proposing solutions, and laying the groundwork for how we hire at scale
What You Bring
4+ years of experience of full-cycle recruiting experience hiring for business roles, ideally across a mix of company stages and role types
You think like a talent advisor, not an order taker. You earn trust with hiring managers by bringing market insight, honest feedback, and a point of view on what good looks like
A natural communicator who can build trust quickly with candidates and hiring managers alike, in writing and in person
Sourcing is part of your DNA. You don't wait for applicants to roll in. You know how to open a search with no existing pipeline and go find the right people
Comfortable being in the office five days a week
Comfort with ambiguity, high ownership, and the pace of an early-stage company
Bonus
Prior experience working in-house at an early-stage startup
Experience leveraging AI tools to work smarter
Familiarity with modern recruiting tools like Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter
