Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Manager

West Jakarta, ID Full-time Posted Jun 2, 2026

Funding Societies | Modalku is the largest SME digital financing platform in Southeast Asia. We are licensed in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and registered in Malaysia. We are backed by Sequoia India and Softbank Ventures Asia Corp amongst many others and provides business financing to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which is crowdfunded by individual and institutional investors. And here at Funding Societies | Modalku we live by our core values:

  • Serve with Obsession: Build win-win relationships for the long-term by having a customer obsession.
  • Grow Relentlessly: Strive to become our best, most authentic selves.
  • Enable Teamwork, Disable Politics: Only by forging togetherness, we help each other succeed.
  • Test Measure Act: Stay curious and reinvent ourselves, through innovation and experimentation.
  • Focus on Impact: Create impact through bias for action and tangible results.

The Senior FP&A Manager will be a senior finance business partner and analytical leader, responsible for the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of financial planning, performance management, and reporting across the group. Working closely with senior Finance leadership, this role brings the rigour, depth, and initiative needed to elevate the quality of financial insight that informs strategic decisions.

What you will do:

Business Partnering

  • Partner with Business Heads and Sales/Marketing to drive business decisions.
  • Advise on sales commission/incentive plans and conduct deep-dive sales analyses as required.
  • Work closely with Business Heads on driver-based approaches for forecasting and budgeting exercises.
  • Support Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews, providing insights on revenue drivers, headcount, sales productivity and operating expenses.

Financial Analysis & Insights

  • Run scenario modeling, ROI evaluation, and Risk & Opportunity tracking.
  • Align financial metrics with KPIs and provide insights on key performance trends.
  • Design and improve dashboards & reporting templates, ensuring timely reporting with actionable insights.
  • Support quarterly forecasts, annual plans, and ad-hoc analysis.

Team & Capability Development

  • Lead the team's AI and automation agenda — identifying opportunities to eliminate low-value manual work, deploying AI-assisted workflows across planning and reporting, and setting the standard for how Finance leverages emerging tools.
  • Champion adoption of data tools and automation workflows; identify and drive structural improvements to how Finance operates.
  • Act as a bridge between Finance and business-facing functions — translating complexity into clear, actionable guidance for non-finance stakeholders.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Have a (minimum) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent field from a reputable university.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or business analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead components in the planning cycle and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Expert-level financial modelling; able to build, challenge, and communicate complex models to a non-technical audience.
  • Deep grounding in lending economics: EIR, COF, ECL, NIM, PUE — able to hold substantive conversations with portfolio and risk leadership.
  • Comfortable with data analysis tools (BI platforms, financial planning systems); experience with data warehouses or SQL a strong plus.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and automation — has actively experimented with AI tools in a finance context and can credibly lead the team's adoption rather than just participate in it.
  • Proven track record operating across multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction environments.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High integrity, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to think critically and challenge existing processes.
