About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Supervisor - Port Solutions to lead and support crane service operations across key customer sites in Auckland, New Zealand. 

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will carry out detailed crane inspections, oversee complex repairs and modernisations, and provide expert troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical systems on a wide range of lifting equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Performing detailed inspections across all crane makes and models
  • Leading and supporting complex repairs, installations, and modernisation work
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults on non-standard equipment
  • Delivering emergency breakdown response and problem-solving solutions
  • Planning, quoting, and recommending major repairs and upgrades
  • Managing and supporting larger field service projects
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting technicians on site
  • Ensuring accurate reporting, safety reviews, and job documentation
  • Working closely with customers, planners, and internal support teams

  • Electrical Licence or Mechanical Trade Certificate (essential)
  • Current and valid Driver Licence
  • Working at Heights competency
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket preferred
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian/NZ Standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong knowledge of crane service and modernisation solutions highly regarded
  • Experience in planning, quoting, and delivering field service work
  • Previous leadership of small teams on complex projects advantageous
