- Facilitate entry of customer data and payment information for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Train in HIPPA compliance and FDA regulations for specific products.
- Process and complete all customer internet and phone service orders.
- Follow all HIPPA guidelines to help protect patients, clients and company information.
- Obtain correct diagnosis from doctors and apply correct ICD-9 codes to expedite billing/payment process.
- Correct Medicare and Medicaid claims prior to billing to limit delay due to administrative error.
- Provide customer support to on-line banking and bill payment consumers via the telephone and/or Internet.
- Follow payer guidelines by billing appropriate CPT, HCPCS, and diagnosis codes per encounter forms.
- Enter data into appropriate third-party websites verifying claims data with ICD-9 code set data and confirming quality care provide.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- High school diploma.
- 1+ years experience in a relevant field.
- Good command of English.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed.
- Proficient touch typing skills.
