The Role

The spoken word doesn't mean anything until someone writes it down. As a Transcriptionist with NoGigiddy, you'll convert audio and video recordings into accurate written transcripts — interviews, meetings, podcasts, legal proceedings, medical dictation, and more. This is flexible, solo work that rewards speed and precision equally. The faster and more accurately you type, the more you earn. If you have a sharp ear, fast fingers, and the patience to replay a clip twelve times until you get it right, this role was built for you.

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio or video recordings and produce accurate, verbatim or clean-read transcripts
• Format transcripts according to client style guidelines — timestamps, speaker labels, punctuation rules
• Research unfamiliar terminology (especially in medical or legal transcription) to ensure accuracy
• Flag inaudible or unclear sections with appropriate markers rather than guessing
• Meet turnaround time requirements for each project — some files are time-sensitive
• Proofread completed transcripts before submission for typos, missed words, and formatting errors
• Maintain confidentiality on sensitive audio content (medical, legal, corporate)

Requirements

• No degree required
• Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy
• Sharp listening skills — able to parse accents, crosstalk, and low-quality audio
• Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Familiarity with transcription software (Express Scribe, oTranscribe, or similar) is a plus
• Self-directed and able to manage your own file queue and deadlines
• Reliable internet and quality headphones — audio matters
