Senior Underwriting Representative
The Underwriting Account Senior Representative, within Cignas Supplemental Benefits contributes to the Underwriting process through the handling of all Medicare Supplement, Health and Life underwritten applications.
Essential Responsibilities:
Review medical history, data and interviews employing critical thinking skillsOperating third party software to summarize application medical and health dataProvide written correspondence, to the applicant or broker, regarding outstanding application requirements
Qualifications:
High School diploma is required
2+ years insurance or medical experience required, preferably medical insurance or PBM background1+ yr. of customer service experience preferably on phonesMedical terminology preferred
Excellent organizational and critical thinking skillsAbility to prioritize workload independently in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of medical conditions/prescriptions
