Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EDT

Salary: $5–$6/hour (depending on experience)

Description

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Medical Virtual Assistant to support a psychiatric and mental health practice providing care in Florida. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, professional in communication, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The Medical Virtual Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by assisting with administrative and patient coordination tasks. The ideal candidate is quick on their feet, detail-oriented, productive during downtime, and comfortable wearing different hats as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage inbound phone calls, including answering and routing calls through the business line

• Handle and organize email communications

• Manage provider calendars, appointments, and scheduling coordination

• Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-ups

• Assist with insurance verifications and eligibility checks

• Process prior authorizations as needed

• Support patient care coordination and administrative workflows

• Maintain accurate and organized records

• Perform additional delegated administrative tasks

• Possibly provide basic social media support and content creation when neededRequirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant

• Previous experience in a healthcare or medical administrative role

• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations

• Experience working in a mental health or psychiatric practice is a plus

• Proficiency with behavioral health platforms such as Grow Therapy, Headway, and Tebra is a plus

• Experience providing basic social media support or content creation is a plus

• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and processes

• Highly organized, proactive, and able to multitask effectively

• Must be dependable, productive, and able to work independently

Basic requirements

• Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly

• Must have relevant work experience

• Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]

• Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
